Some BC Ferries sailings from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay cancelled after mechanical issue

Some BC Ferries sailings from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay have been cancelled after a mechanical issue Sunday afternoon.

The Queen of Alberni’s pitch control is having issues, so the Queen of New Westminster will be taking over its scheduled sailings for the rest of the day.

As a result the following sailings are cancelled:

• 4:00 p.m. departing Tsawwassen
• 6:00 p.m. departing Swartz Bay
• 8:00 p.m. departing Tsawwassen
• 10:00 p.m. departing Swartz Bay

Those with reservations will be advised that their booking is cancelled and where possible, accommodated on a later sailing.

Affected customers will have their reservation fees refunded.

Customers will be loaded on a standby basis in their order of arrival at the terminal, after customers with reservations for the scheduled sailing.
