One of Canada’s famous Snowbirds crashed Sunday afternoon just prior to a performance in Atlanta, Georgia.

According to the Snowbirds official Twitter account, the Canadian Forces air demonstration squad was about to take part in the Atlanta Air Show when Capt. Kevin Domon-Grenier was forced to eject from Snowbird 5.

The Snowbirds say that Domon-Grenier made it to the ground safely and his aircraft crash-landed in an unpopulated area. There were no injuries from the incident.

“It is too early to speculate on the cause of the incident,” the Snowbirds said in a tweet. “We are thankful Kevin and the public are unhurt.”
