A wildfire has been reported northwest of Port Alberni, according to the BC Wildfire Service.
The BC Wildfire Service said the fire is near Great Central Lake and is estimated to be 0.5. hectares. It was reported late Friday afternoon. Four helicopters, two attack crews, two air tanker groups, a water tender and a fire officer are fighting the blaze. BC Hydro is also at the fire.
