A small earthquake was recorded near Friday Harbor on Feb. 1, 2019. (USGS).
An earthquake with a magnitude of 2.5 jolted Friday Harbor in Washington state just after 1 a.m. Friday morning.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the quake was eight kilometres southeast of Friday Harbor with a depth of 49.2 kilometres.
While it was a small earthquake, six people did report to the USGS that they had felt it.
