After a very soggy few days, skies will begin clearing over B.C.’s south coast this evening, as a weak ridge of high pressure moves over the region.

Sunday will bring a mix of sun and cloud to most areas, with highs from 4 to 8 degrees.

Monday, Dec. 31 promises to be sunny, but cold, with highs from 2 to 6, and overnight lows New Year’s Eve from 0 down to -2.

More sunshine is expected on the first day of 2019, then clouds and showers, and milder temperatures, return on Wednesday, Jan. 2.
