With an 8-7 win in a decisive game 7 in Burnaby, the Victoria Shamrocks have advanced to the WLA Finals.
Despite an early 2-1 deficit, the Shamrocks used a five goal second period to lift them over the Burnaby Lakers, who had won the previous two games to force game seven. The Shamrocks also defeated the Lakers in seven games last season. The Shamrocks now await the winner of the New Westminster/Maple Ridge series, which wraps up tonight as they play game seven of their series.
Game 1 of the WLA Finals will be on the mainland this Friday.
