Heavy snow started falling on Vancouver Island Monday afternoon and schools have already announced that classes will be cancelled again on Tuesday.
West Vancouver Island, inland Vancouver Island, Greater Victoria, the southern Gulf Islands, the Malahat highway from Goldstream to Mill Bay and east Vancouver Island are all under a snowfall warning. Five to 10 centimetres can be expected in most areas.
The snowfall will gradually taper off this afternoon into the early evening as low centre weakens.
Greater Victoria School District
All Greater Victoria Schools are closed Tuesday.
Sooke School District
All Sooke School District schools are Tuesday
Saanich School District
All Saanich Schools are closed for Tuesday due to continuing deteriorating weather conditions.
Cowichan Valley School District
All schools are closed Tuesday due to the snow.
Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools
