Search ends for missing Nanaimo woman: RCMP
CHEK

After three days of searching a park and river for a missing woman, the active search has now ended, according to Nanaimo RCMP.

The search for Nancy Gagne, 48, began on Feb. 1, after her items were found near the Millstone River.

RCMP, Nanaimo Search and Rescue (NSAR) and West Coast Marine Services searched the park and river for three days without success.

The RCMP dive team was unable to search due to the water levels and associated turbidity.

Gagne is described as a white woman who stands 5’7” and weighs approximately 150 pounds. She has brown hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing multi-coloured pajamas.

Mounties say the picture provided of her is recent.

RCMP says the missing person investigation remains active.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345.
