The Victoria Fire Department is investigating after a fire broke out in the sauna at the city’s Crystal Pool Monday afternoon.
Eighteen firefighters responded to reports of a fire at 3:35. The fire was extinguished before fire crews arrived.
The firefighters then managed ventilation of smoke from the building.
At around 5 p.m., the City of Victoria tweeted that the facility had reopened. No injuries were reported and the extent of the damage is unknown at this time.
Crystal Pool has re-opened after being closed due to an unforeseen event.
