Number of people arrested after 1 injured in home invasion in Saanich

Saanich Police have confirmed a number of people were taken into custody after one person was injured in a home invasion on Wednesday morning.

Just after 11:30 a.m., police responded to a report of a home invasion in the 4700 block of Rosehill Road. According to police, two men were inside the house when an unconfirmed amount of people entered the home and took belongings that were inside. One of the victims was injured during the incident and received non-life-threatening injuries. 

At around 3 p.m., a vehicle was stopped in the Saanich Centre parking lot in connection with the home invasion investigation, matching the description of a vehicle seen leaving the seen. 

Officers from the Saanich Police Detective Division are investigating the invasion. Detectives have interviewed two victims and police say the home invasion was a “targeted event.”
