Saanich police say injuries were not as severe as first thought in a two-vehicle crash that shut down Prospect Lake Road for several hours overnight.
Cst. Chelsea Cofield said Saanich officers responded to the collision around 9:30 p.m. in the 4000-block of Prospect Lake Road.
She says the driver, and lone occupant, in each vehicle was taken to hospital, where injuries were deemed non-life threatening.
Prospect Lake Road was closed while a crash analysis and investigation took place at the scene.
Shortly after 4 a.m. Tuesday, Saanich police advised the public the road had reopened.
Cofield says the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
