WATCH: Saanich Police trying to track down suspect in bus stop attack that sent one person to hospital

Saanich Police are asking for the public’s help after an unprovoked attack at a bus stop near Uptown Centre sent one person to hospital.

It happened on Douglas Street, just north of Saanich Road, around 6 p.m. Sunday.

Police say the victim was waiting for the number 50 bus when he was hit by another man.

The suspect jumped on a packed bus and fled the scene.

Investigators believe there were several witnesses to the assault and they’re asking anyone who may have seen the attacker to come forward.
