WATCH: With massive amounts of pressure on their backs, the Canadian men’s 15’s rugby squad took down Kenya 65-19 on Sunday morning, taking the first game of the 2019 World Cup repechage round robin.

The Canadian side was lead by star player D.T.H. Van Der Merwe, the 32-year-old scored three tries in the game for Canada and had the Kenyan defenders on their heels all game long.

Victoria’s Phil Mack was also instrumental in the victory for Canada. With three other teams in the repechage, Canada now waits until Saturday, where they’ll take on Germany, looking to further improve their chances of claiming the final spot in the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
