The Victoria Royals announced Wednesday that they have traded ’98 forward Jared Dmytriw to the Red Deer Rebels for ’98 defenceman Jared Freadrich.
Dmytriw, a Craven, Sask. product, was a third round pick by the Royals back in 2013and played three seasons with Victoria, where he amassed 50 points, as well as two goals and two assists in Victoria’s six game playoff series against Everett last season.
Freadrich, from Camrose, Alta., is a two-way defenceman, who amassed 30 points (6 goals, 24 assists) with the Rebels in 64 games last season. Freadrich has two seasons of WHL experience, tallying 51 points over his career.
