The Victoria Royals announced Wednesday that they have added former NHL netminder Dwayne Roloson to their coaching staff as a consulting coach.

The Simcoe, Ont. product spent last season as an assistant coach at the Shawnigan Lake School Midget Varsity and Bantam Prep teams.

Prior to Shawnigan Lake, Roloson was a goaltending coach for the Anaheim Ducks of the NHL for three seasons and spent 14 seasons in the NHL, most noted by his tenure with the Minnesota Wild and backstopping the Edmonton Oilers to the Stanley Cup Final back in 2006.
