WATCH: The Victoria Royals were simply outmatched by the Moose Jaw Warriors on Friday night at the Save On Foods Memorial Centre, falling 4-0 to one of the top teams in the WHL’s Eastern Conference.

The Royals came out with a spark, skating hard to get good chances, but the home team could not solve Warriors netminder Adam Evanoff.

The Royals outshot the Warriors 13-4 in the first frame, but found themselves with zero goals to show for it in the first intermission.

The Warriors’ talent shined in the second period, scoring three unanswered goals, all scored by Tristan Langan, to give Moose Jaw the clear-cut advantage heading into the final period of play. Keenan Taphorn would score early in the third for the Warriors, spelling the end of Victoria’s chances of making a game out of it. Evanoff made 28 saves for the Warriors in a shut out performance.

The Royals continue their three-game-in-three-night stretch on Saturday night against the Seattle Thunderbirds on the road. Full highlights to come Sunday on CHEK.
