A suspect has been arrested after a scary incident at the Best Buy at Cowichan Commons in Duncan earlier this month.
North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP say that shortly after 4 p.m. on June 2nd, officers were called to the store.
Employees told them that a man walked into the store, grabbed an item, then turned and ran out the door while yelling and wielding an axe threatening staff and customers.
Investigators apprehended 36-year-old Corey Wayne Boise within two hours of the incident and a related theft from a Canadian Tire store.
He is facing numerous charges including Robbery, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Theft.
Boise will next appear before a Duncan Provincial Court Judge on July 3rd.
