Road to Recovery: Entrepreneurs respond to the pandemic by finding the opportunity in a challenge

CHEK

On this week’s episode of Road to Recovery with Douglas Magazine, CHEK’s Jasmine Bala sits down with Geoff Archer, associate professor and director of Royal Roads University’s Eric C. Douglass Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies.

Archer has been teaching entrepreneurship at Royal Roads University since 2009. Before that, he taught at Duke University, Oregon State University and the University of Virginia. Archer has more than 20 years of experience in the field, according to the university’s website, including starting businesses inside of ExxonMobil, Hewlett-Packard and Yahoo! Inc.

With the pandemic nearing the two-year mark, the meaning of ‘business as usual’ has shifted. We’ve seen major pivots, both temporary and long-term. At the heart of it all are resilient entrepreneurs, who Archer says find the silver linings and leverage crisis for opportunity.

Archer explains in this segment how entrepreneurs have responded to the pandemic, what he’s noticed over the past couple of years, and what the future looks like for business leaders impacted by COVID-19.

Road to Recovery is done in partnership with Douglas Magazine.
