Rebels deal former Victoria Royal’s forward Jared Dmytriw to Giants for draft pick

WATCH: Jared Dmytriw is headed back to the B.C. Division.

The 19-year-old forward was acquired in a trade between the Vancouver Giants and Red Deer Rebels on Tuesday. In exchange for Dmytriw, the Rebels will receive a third-round draft pick in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft.

Dmytriw was originally acquired by the Rebels in an early September trade with the Victoria Royals for 19-year-old defenceman Jared Freadrich. In 26 games with the Rebels, Dmytriw had nine points (6G-3A), including one power play goal, one short-handed goal and a pair of game-winning goals.
