The Comox Valley RCMP are hoping the public can help them locate a missing 40-year-old man from Courtenay.
Justin Smith was last heard from on May 27 and was reported missing to the RCMP on June 4.
Few details were provided but, according to the Comox Valley RCMP, Smith is an avid outdoorsman with extensive knowledge of the region’s backcountry.
Smith is approximately 6-foot-2 with an average build. He has brown hair and blue eyes and was last known to be wearing a dark work jacket with black Carhartt pants.
RCMP say Smith is believed to be travelling in a black 1992 Toyota Hilux with BC plate HB1 32W.
