UPDATE: RCMP and Home Depot say the man accused of stealing a barbecue July 15 has since returned the item, and criminal charges are not being considered.
Original story: Mounties on Vancouver Island are on the hunt for a man who, allegedly, felt compelled to take a BBQ from a Comox Valley store without paying for it.
According to the Comox Valley RCMP, a man walked into a store in the 300-block of Ryan Road in Courtenay on July 15 and stole a BBQ.
Mounties say the BBQ was worth $250.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information is asked to contact the Comox Valley RCMP at 250-338-1321.
