RCMP searching for truck suspected of damaging rainbow crosswalk in Port Alberni

The Port Alberni RCMP is investigating and seeking further information after a pickup truck allegedly damaged a local rainbow crosswalk.

Police say that the damaged LGBTQ crosswalk is located at the corner of 4th Avenue and Argyle Street in Port Alberni and the incident took place on August 10.

An image of the truck suspected of damaging the crosswalk was posted to Port Alberni RCMP’s Facebook Page.

Police say the Ford pickup is dark in colour with a suspension lift kit, aftermarket rims and an LED light bar mounted on the top of the cab.

Anyone with information about the possible owner of this truck is being asked to contact Port Alberni RCMP on its non-emergency line at 250-723-2424.
