RCMP is looking to return baggage that was taken from the Comox Valley Airport to its rightful owner.

Police say at approximately 1:30 p.m. Monday, a traveller arriving at the airport had two of his bags taken, possibly inadvertently.

Since then, the bags have not been returned.

Officers say the bags contained a CPAP machine, prescription medication, and expensive electronics.

“We would like to get these bags back to their rightful owner,” said Cst. Monika Terragni, Comox Valley RCMP. “We are releasing a picture of the person who was seen carrying the bags out of the airport.”

Police say the person who took the bags from the airport left in a small red vehicle.

Anyone with information on who took the bags is asked to call the Comox Valley RCMP and refer to file 2024-3435.
