UPDATE: RCMP identify man accused of inappropriately touching two underage girls

UPDATE: The Sidney North Saanich RCMP, with help from the public, have identified a man who allegedly “inappropriately touched” two underaged girls at a restaurant in the 2400 block of Mt. Newton Cross Rd.

Police believe this to be an isolated incident and that there is no further danger to the public.

RCMP is requesting that the public continue to provide information or tips regarding this incident or this individual as no arrests have been made.

The Sidney North Saanich RCMP is asking the public to help identify a man who allegedly “inappropriately touched” two underage girls near Victoria on June 13.

In a statement, Mounties say it happened at a restaurant in the 2400-block of Mt. Newton Cross Rd in Central Saanich.

RCMP say the man spoke with the two girls briefly before he touched them.

The man then left in a grey Dodge Ram pickup truck with damage to the right-side chrome running boards.

He is described as an approximately 40-year-old Caucasian man with a thin build and short light hair. He was wearing a faded green baseball cap, a black long sleeved shirt, blue jeans, grey and blue Nike running shoes and eye glasses.
