RCMP are investigating a suspicious death at a Port Alberni motel Saturday night.
According to Port Alberni RCMP, officers were called to a motel in the 3700-block of Redford Street for a report of a 31-year-old man with significant injuries.
The man later died in hospital.
Const. Richard Johns said in a release that the RCMP is currently treating this death as suspicious, adding there is no threat to the public.
“Investigators are working around the clock to determine the events surrounding this death,” Johns said in a press release.
The investigation has been passed to the Port Alberni General Investigative Services who will continue to work with the coroners office.
