Comox Valley RCMP is investigating several reports of mischief at a private school in Comox where incidents of vandalism continue.

Police say Phil and Jennie Gaglardi Academy on Noel Avenue has been the target of vandals since September, with seven incidents reported.

The majority of the vandalism is graffiti related.

For a few days in October, small fires were started at the property, but no significant damage was sustained as the area seemed to be used as a hangout.

Now authorities are looking into three separate incidents since the end of January, where an unknown person or persons spray painted graffiti on the building.

“Some of the content of the graffiti was very disturbing, and certainly not what the kids need to be exposed to,” Comox Valley Cst. Rob Gardner said.

“Anyone caught vandalizing property could be charged with mischief.”

Anyone with information regarding the ongoing vandalism as the school is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
