WATCH: In a game that had just about everything, the Mount Douglas Rams varsity football team took down the #1 provincially ranked Vancouver College Fighting Irish 31-28 to advance to next week’s B.C. Championship game.
The Rams looked to be in great position to win the game, as they held a 28-13 lead heading into the late stages of the game, but a 4th quarter barrage from Vancouver College tied the game up at 28 a piece in the final minutes.
Rams quarterback Gideone Kremler found his #1 target Sebastian Hanson for a big gain to set up the Rams in field goal territory, and with no time on the clock, grade 10 kicker Jackson Reid nailed the 23 yard field goal with no time left on the clock to win the game for Mount Doug.
The Rams will play the New Westminster Hyacks at B.C. Place this coming Saturday.
