West Shore RCMP say rainy weather and the accumulation of water on the pavement are believed to be factors in a BC Transit crash on the Trans-Canada Highway in Langford Thursday.

The bus crashed through a cement median south of the Leigh Road overpass at around 7 p.m. Thursday night.

Police said the bus was going north on the highway went the driver attempted to change lanes to exit the highway. The driver lost control and the bus then collided with the cement barrier.

The driver and the only passenger on the bus were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police said no charges have been laid at this time and collision continues to be investigated.
