The funeral for the two sisters who were allegedly murdered by their father in Oak Bay will be open to the public, according to a spokesperson for the family.

The service for Chloe Berry, 6, and her sister Aubrey, 4, will be held at 11 a.m. on Jan. 12 at Christ Church Cathedral on Burdett Street in Victoria.

The two young girls were found dead in an Oak Bay apartment on Christmas Day. Their father, 43-year-old Andrew Berry, has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder in connection with their deaths. He made his first court appearance on Thursday.

Chloe attended Christ Church Cathedral School and a scholarship fund in her and Aubrey’s names has been set up in partnership with the Victoria Foundation for students at Christ Church Cathedral School. Donations can be made in person, online at https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/15332, or by calling 250-381-5532,

The girls were also honoured last Saturday at a candlelight vigil at Willows Beach.
