The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed a new addition to the Royal family Monday morning in London.
Kensington Palace announced Prince William’s wife Kate gave birth to a healthy boy who tipped the scale at eight pounds seven ounces Monday morning.
Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs.
The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz.
The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.

A name has not been released and the new baby is the fifth in line to the throne.
He is the third child of the Duke and Duchess, following Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
