Although the Canadian Prime Minister is in England, he still faces protesters who are calling for the Kinder Morgan Trans Mountain pipeline project to be cancelled.

Justin Trudeau was confronted by about 30 activists from Greenpeace U.K. as he left the Canadian High Commission to attend a women’s rights event at London City Hall.

Trudeau is meeting with the Queen and British Prime Minister Teresa May and on Thursday he will be part of the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting.

Environmental activists constructed a huge pipeline outside Canada House in London next to Trafalgar Square and labelled it “Crudeau Oil”.

Protesters can be heard on a video posted by the group on twitter saying “Climate leaders don’t build pipelines”.

The protesters got a few seconds while Trudeau was in sight to voice their objections to the government’s plan to expand the pipeline that would triple bitumen shipments from Kinder Morgan sites in Edmonton to Burnaby.

Greenpeace U.K. sighted water, Indigenous rights, wildlife and climate change as reasons for the pipeline to be cancelled.

The protesters displayed a cut-out of Trudeau featuring a hard hat.

Trudeau faced protests on his visit to Victoria earlier this month as he spoke with the Canadian Coast Guard about oil spill response.

Trudeau said his message of support for environmental protection and the pipeline is the same when he came to B.C. and Alberta.
