
The Port Alberni fire department says it is responding to two wildfires Tuesday evening, which have both been knocked down.
The first is west of the West Coast General Hospital.
The second is at the end of Cherry Creek Road.
Both wildfires were declared out around 6:45 p.m., according to the department.

Update: Both fires are now knocked down and crews are dealing with hotspots at both locations.
