Law enforcement are on the hunt for two suspects who they say allegedly stole a nail gun worth more than $600 from a home improvement store in Saanich.

According to a Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers post on Facebook, two suspects were captured on CCTV stealing a Paslode 7-volt impulse cordless 16-gauge nail gun from a home improvement store on Tillicum Road on March 21.

“You have both nailed it in these pictures as you were captured on CCTV. Just doing it yourself in a home improvement store on Tillicum Road, even the bit where you were seen stealing the Paslode nail gun was beautifully constructed! It’s a shame, that planning wasn’t your strength as you realized the only way out was via the emergency exit drawing attention to your deed,” Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers wrote on Facebook.

The two suspects, who appear to be a man and a woman, are seen in photos walking in and out of the store with multiple bags and a backpack.

Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers also included a photo of the nail gun, which has a price of $629.

They are asking anyone with information about the alleged theft to contact them at 1-800-222-8477 or submit a tip online at www.victoriacrimestoppers.ca and cite file number 22-5442.
