Local law enforcement are on the hunt for a suspect who stole clothing from a store at a popular mall in Saanich last month.

According to the Saanich Police Department, a woman walked into a store in Uptown Shopping Centre at around 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 27 and stole an undisclosed amount of clothing.

Surveillance photos from the alleged incident shared by Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers show the suspect holding a pink shirt.

“On the day that these pictures of you were taken, you felt that you needed to go on a little bit of a shopping spree. Sadly, you thought that included being allowed to take the clothing you chose free of charge,” Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers said in a recent post on their website.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Saanich Police Department at 250-475-4321 or Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 at quote Saanich File: 22-16428.
