Police are searching for a “Hamburglar” who stole a tool bag from a tradesperson who was working at a Saanich McDonalds, according to Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers.

In a social media post Wednesday, Crime Stoppers said the theft occurred at the McDonalds in the 3400-block of Saanich Road, near Uptown.

“You came in and immediately saw an opportunity to ‘Super Size’ your order when you realized there was a tool bag for the taking,” wrote Crime Stoppers.

“You ate your burger and contemplated your next move which was to leave in a ‘McFlurry,’ dragging the red tool bag behind you.”

Crime Stoppers is asking anyone with information on the suspect to contact the organization at 1-800-222-8477. Tips can be submitted anonymously over the phone or online on the Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers website.
