Comox Valley RCMP is searching for the suspect in an armed robbery Monday night in Courtenay.
Police were called to the 3000 block of Comox Road in Courtenay around 6:30 p.m.
A heavy set man approximately 5’8″ tall, entered the liquor store with a weapon and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The Comox Valley RCMP Major Crime section is leading the investigation, with help from the Integrated Forensic Identification Section and Police Dog services.
Police are asking anyone who was in the 3000 block of Comox Road at the time of the robber to contact them.
RCMP say people may see something that seems insignificant but can assist investigators.
