Comox Valley RCMP is searching for Patrick Hanlon in connection with a shooting incident in Courtenay May 25.

Comox Valley RCMP is searching for Patrick Hanlon in connection with a shooting incident in Courtenay May 25.

Comox Valley RCMP has identified a suspect wanted in connection with a shooting incident on the evening of May 25 in Courtenay.

Police are asking for help finding Patrick Hanlon.

RCMP says he has been charged with several crimes including assault with a weapon and unlawful discharge of a firearm.

Authorities are advising you to call 911 immediately if you see Hanlon and to not approach him since it is believed he is armed and could be violent.

Hanlon is described as a white man standing  5’7″ tall and weighing 137 pounds.

The 55-year-old has brown hair and eyes and has a YinYang tattoo on his right upper arm.

Police were at the scene in the 400-block of Panorama Crescent in east Courtenay all day Saturday collecting evidence after shots rang out around 11:20 p.m. Friday night.

Many residents saw officers with guns drawn in their backyards as police contained the area, but the suspect was already gone.

No one was hurt from the gunfire, but the rear window of a car parked on the road was hit.

Comox Valley RCMP is asking for anyone who believes they have seen Hanlon or know of his whereabouts to give them a call or Crime Stoppers.
