Police nab allegedly impaired motorist 'drifting' between lanes in Oak Bay

A 24-year-old motorist was issued a 90-day driving ban after they were allegedly driving while impaired in Oak Bay.

According to the Oak Bay Police Department, an officer was conducting traffic enforcement in the Oak Bay Avenue and Foul Bay Road area on March 12, when they noticed a vehicle “drifting in and out of its lane.”

Police say the officer pulled the vehicle and eventually determined that the motorist, a 24-year-old woman, was impaired.

The motorist was issued a 90-day driving ban, 30-day vehicle impoundment and a speeding ticket, say police.
