Nanaimo RCMP say this Boston Whaler Montauk was stolen from Protection Island on Dec. 12.
Nanaimo RCMP are asking the public to keep an eye out for a boat which was stolen on Dec. 12 from the Mud Bay Community dock on Protection Island.
The vessel is a 1976, 17 foot Boston Whaler Montauk, with serial # 13K61442. Police said it also has a three blade stainless prop and a Mercury outboard engine.
There is a very noticeable iron cross tie down, mounted on the vessel’s deck. Police said when the vessel was stolen, it was not insured and there was no fuel in it.
