Pedestrian taken to hospital after being struck in Victoria intersection

Victoria police say a woman was taken to hospital following a crash at Fairfield Road and Cook Street Tuesday afternoon.

Police were called to the collision at 2:25 p.m. According to police, one female pedestrian was struck and was taken to hospital. A city employee in a City of Victoria truck was also involved in the collision.

City spokesperson Bill Eisenhauer confirmed they are working with VicPD as officers conduct the investigation and providing necessary support to their employee.

Victoria police are still investigating the crash. No other information was immediately available.
