It’s that time of year again.

The City of Parksville is gearing up to install seasonal lights on the trees along the Alberni Highway, which means there will be limited parking along the road while the lights are being set up.

This year, crews will be out there Oct. 23 and 24.

The installation will start near the Royal Bank on Oct. 23, along the east side, moving down the Alberni Highway to the Chevron Station at Highway 19A.

There will be no parking along the east side of Alberni Highway that day, according to the city.

On Oct. 24, parking will be shut down on the west side of Alberni Highway from the CIBC at Highway 19A to the Rod and Gun liquor store.

If the installation work isn’t finished by then, work will continue on Oct. 25.

Parking spaces will open back up when it is safe to do so.
