The Downtown Duncan BIA and the City of Duncan announced the opening of the Station Street Common, an outdoor food court, for the summer months.

Duncan residents and visitors will be able to eat at a popular downtown park once again.

The Downtown Duncan BIA and the City of Duncan announced that the Station Street Common, an outdoor food court, has reopened for the summer months.

Station Street Common is an area of outdoor seating at Station Park that operated on a temporary basis last summer as a part of a pilot project to support local businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, however, the Downtown Duncan BIA says six-round concrete tables with benches and umbrellas have been installed at the park.

“The Downtown Duncan BIA really hopes that this cheerful gathering space will bring the community together again,” Amanda Vance, executive director of the Downtown Duncan BIA, said in a media release.

Duncan’s mayor, Michelle Staples said it’s great to see the Station Street Common return this summer.

“It is great to be back in the Station Street Common. One of the great things that came out of this past year was that we were able to re-discover local businesses, and as we restart I hope we will continue to support our local restaurants and businesses,” said Staples in a press release.
