

Victoria police arrested one man who allegedly assaulted several people Wednesday morning.
Victoria police have arrested a man who allegedly assaulted several people at Floyd’s Diner Wednesday morning.
Police said they were called to 800-block of Yates Street for a man causing a disturbance at Floyd’s Diner. He allegedly assaulted several people who suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The man was arrested a short time later after fleeing the restaurant, going west on Yates Street and removing his clothes. According to police he also allegedly assaulted a man after leaving the restaurant.
Police said the investigation is in its early stages at this point and there were five victims in total. The suspect was taken to hospital for evaluation.

Police are also looking for two women who were at the corner of Blanshard and Johnson streets who the male suspect allegedly had contact with. VicPD said they are witnesses.
