One person was sent to hospital after a vehicle rollover in Port McNeill Sunday morning.

B.C. Ambulance responded to the crash with two ambulances just after 10:30 a.m.

One person was taken to a local hospital and was planned to be flown down to a Victoria-area hospital due to the extent of their injuries.

A family member says the young man hurt in the accident was instead taken to Campbell River for a precautionary CT scan.

Residents say the crash was on Mine Road near Southwest Main Road.

Officials are not releasing any further details.
