Rain on the way for Vancouver Island, with sunshine returning later in the week

A strong low-pressure system is moving toward the south coast, bringing wind and rain across Vancouver Island.

Rain will begin on the north and west coast, sliding southward throughout Sunday night, reaching the southern tip of Vancouver Island, including Victoria, by Monday morning.

Behind this system high pressure will rebuild, with sunshine returning to the Island midweek.
