One B.C. resident is the province’s newest multi-millionaire, winning Wednesday night’s Lotto 6/49 $58 million Gold Ball Jackpot.
The ticket was purchased on PlayNow.com and is the largest jackpot ever won in B.C. on the website.
This ticket matched the 10-digit raffle number.
The winning jackpot numbers were: 18041531-05.
BC Lottery Corporation (BCLC) says all prize winners have 52 weeks from the draw date printed on their ticket to come forward to claim their prize, adding the specific retail location where the winning lottery ticket was purchased, and the lottery winners’ name(s) will be announced after the winner has come forward to claim their prize.
In 2023, B.C. lottery players have redeemed more than $120 million in winnings from Lotto 6/49.
Lotto 6/49 is a nationwide lottery game drawn on Wednesdays and Saturdays after 7:30 p.m.
BCLC says the Gold Ball Draw is a prize draw where one player is guaranteed to win each draw, with a price of either the Guaranteed Prize of $1 million, or the growing Gold Ball Jackpot that starts at $10 million. The Classic Jackpot offers a prize that is always $5 million.
