A sign at the TD Bank on Douglas Street tells people to go to a different branch after a robbery on Feb. 5.

Police say one suspect has been arrested after a robbery Monday afternoon at the TD Bank at 1080 Douglas Street.

The robbery happened at around 3:45 p.m. Police arrested a woman a short time later in front of the Chapters bookstore.

A note on the window of the bank said the branch has been temporarily closed due to an “emergency situation.” People are asked to go to the TD Branch at 2000 Cadboro Bay Road.

There is no word yet on how much money was taken from the bank.
