Save Old Growth protesters are holding a demonstration in downtown Victoria, but are not blocking traffic and only crossing the street legally.
The group sent a press release saying they will be holding a march starting at Centennial Square.
Victoria Police tweeted saying the group was blocking traffic, but a CHEK News videographer on scene noted the group was using the crosswalks and only crossing when the crossing symbol allowed it.

The videographer says there are seven protesters at the demonstration.
The group started circling the block at Douglas and Johnson, then later moved to Douglas and Yates.

Less than an hour after initially reporting the group had arrived in the area, VicPD tweeted the group has dispersed.
