Twitter was packed Sunday with eyebrow-raising tweets from Canadian officials, including everything from police birds to mysterious aquatic creatures.

The day kicked off with rather concerning weather warning from Environment Canada, advising of airborne moose from tornados across the country.

The Canadian Coast Guard then joined in with a tweet showing what looks like a giant mermaid — asking for Fisheries and Oceans Canada’s help.

Fisheries and Oceans Canada did not disappoint with their response, saying that they are checking in with their scientists. They then pulled an “archival photo” from 1934.
