

A dump truck collision caused traffic delays on the Trans-Canada Highway on May 11, 2018.
Drivers on a portion of the Trans-Canada Highway in Langford experienced heavy delays Friday afternoon due to a crash involving a dump truck.
Drive BC said the northbound lanes of the Trans-Canada Highway 3.5 kilometres north of Millstream Road were closed after the collision. The southbound lanes were being used for two-way traffic as a detour. The highway is now open but as of 2:30 p.m., there were still some delays.

The crash occurred near the West Shore Parkway at around 12:30 p.m. According to reports from witnesses, a dump truck hauling a pup trailer struck a rock face along the highway. Emergency crews responded to the crash and the truck was removed from the area.
